Title: Travelin' Man
Singer: Ricky Nelson
(Lyrics)
I'm a travelin' man
I've made a lot of stops all over the world
And in every part I own the heart
Of at least one lovely girl
I've a pretty Seniorita waiting for me
Down in old Mexico
If you're ever in Alaska stop and see
My cute little Eskimo
Oh my sweet Fraulien down in Berlin town
Makes my heart start to yearn
And my China doll down in old Hong Kong
Waits for my retune
Pretty Polynesian baby over the sea
I remember the night
When we walked in the sands of the Waikiki
And I held you oh so tight
[instrumental break]
Oh my sweet Fraulien down in Berlin town
Makes my heart start to yearn
And my China doll down in old Hong Kong
Waits for my return
Pretty Polynesian baby over the sea
I remember the night
When we walked in the sands of the Waikiki
And I held you oh so tight
Oh, I'm a travelin'man
Yes, I'm a travelin' man
(Summary of the song)
The song details the loves of a traveling man.
They were a "pretty seniorita" in Mexco, an
eskimo in Alaska, a fraulein in Berlin, a china
doll in Hong Kong, and a Polynesian in Waikiki.
(why I like this song)
this song seems to have been made in 1950,
but this sound makes me feel comfortable
and sorrow.Though it is very old song,
it will be took over all the time.

This song is really impressive. I can't forget the melody and the phrase "I'm a travelin man". I wnat to travel around like him!
This is a nice pick-up. It is one of the classic travel songs. I am very surprised that you found this song. It reminds of the 50's sound. This song is older than your father (maybe-hahaha), but I also like the sound. it s very typical of that era of music. Ricky Nelson's acoustic guitar is absolutely gorgeous and the sound is very, very sweet. His song is about a sailor who has met girls that he has fallen in love with all over the world. I listened to it more than once--it was so nice to hear it again after all these years!
