This sound is very popular nowadays, isn't it? They are singing in a voice box. A lot of the recent hit songs use voice boxes. Most students think that voice boxes are something new, but actually, they are very old. Peter Frampton used a voice box a long time ago! He made it famous in 1973--that was before you were born!!!

As for this song, I had heard once before when I was in Hawaii. I think it is interesting that they use the words "golden coast." I've never heard California called the "golden coast" only the "West Coast." The Gold Coast (for most people) is the norhteast coast of Australia and a very popular destination.
